A meaningful funeral that reflects your person and their beliefs.
A funeral is a vital moment to honour a life, and say goodbye
I believe it’s possible to have a ‘good funeral’ - if it offers you the kind of goodbye that you need, and is a true reflection of the person who has died.
Organising a funeral when someone you love has died can be very challenging. An experienced funeral celebrant will help guide and support you to create a funeral service that reflects the person you are saying goodbye to.
I can conduct a funeral for you wherever you want to have it - at a crematorium or burial chapel, or another venue.
I conduct funerals for people of all faiths and none. We can also weave together different influences.
Perhaps your person wasn’t particularly religious, but they drew comfort from the rosary they learned as a child. Or they come from a family of mixed spiritual heritage and you would like that reflected in the service. A humanist celebrant would not be able to include any religious elements in the service - with me as your celebrant, you can draw upon all the influences that meant something to your person, so that you have a service that is a truly reflection of all that made them who they were.
With me as your funeral celebrant, you’ll have a calm and compassionate friend by your side from day one.
When you get in touch, we’ll meet, in person if possible, or otherwise via Zoom, to talk about your wishes and needs for the funeral.
Then I’ll go away and prepare a personalised, handcrafted funeral service - lastly, we’ll finesse it together until it’s exactly what you were looking for.
Want to explore whether I can support you?
Book a free, no-obligation 30-minute Zoom call now. Or drop me an email with any questions. I will come back to you as soon as I can.

When you get in touch, I’ll set up a meeting, either on Zoom or at home, depending on your location and preference. We’ll get to know one another a little and I can answer any questions you have.
After that call, if you feel you’d like to appoint me, I’ll go away and begin to prepare the ceremony. We might speak again to confirm details or share more ideas. Perhaps you’ll suggest I have a quick chat with other friends or family to include their reflections and ideas in the service.
Once it’s ready, I’ll share the handcrafted ceremony with you. At this point you can provide any further feedback.
We may speak again in the days before the ceremony - especially if there’s anything at all that’s worrying you. I might also chat to your funeral director before the day - but you don’t need to worry about that.
I will also send you my invoice in the week before the funeral. I find that it can be helpful to sort payment before the ceremony so it’s one less thing to think about once the day of the funeral has happened - so you can focus on resting and taking care of yourself.

Yes, I do non-religious funerals. Together we will create the service that reflects the person that you are remembering. I’m very happy to help you source non-religious readings, music and ideas, and/or draw in influences from across different traditions.
But ultimately, I am a spiritual person. If you’re looking for a service that doesn’t contain any spiritual elements at all and reflects an entirely non-spiritual world view, a humanist celebrant might serve you better and I can recommend someone brilliant.

I am based in South London and can offer services across Greater London.
I am also happy to travel to where you are. If the funeral is outside Greater London, I will calculate my travel expenses and let you know what the additional cost would be before you appoint me.
-
This depends on the ceremony you’re looking to have (for example, length, location, whether it’s a burial or a cremation), and whether you appoint me through your funeral directors. I’ll give you a clear idea of costs before you appoint me.
-
Absolutely. Generally it’s easiest to appoint me directly, but you might also tell your funeral director that you want me to take the service. In that case the funeral directors may appoint me, include my fee in the funeral costs and arrange payment with me directly.
